The self-acclaimed dancehall king speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s morning show on September 4, 2018, said that his album is mostly full of African songs in the form of Afropop music rather than the usual dancehall he is not known for.
This was in a response to Andy Dosty who said he had information that the album was hundred percent dancehall.
“I don’t even have one reggae song on the album. It will not be the usual dancehall I have been doing. This album is all about African music.” – Shatta Wale said
Shatta Wale explained that his choice of music on the album is purposely to promote Africa and its music to the world which gives us an idea that we should expect Afrobeat and highlife.
This may come as surprise to many music followers as Shatta Wale’s previous albums have all been about Dancehall with him occasionally touting himself as the African Dancehall kingShatt
