Isaac Briamah Kamoko, known in the boxing fraternity as Bukom Banku has disclosed that there is nothing like ‘Juju’ in the game of boxing adding that followers of the sports should not be deceived.
In an interview with an Accra-based radio station, Bukom Banku brushed aside rumours indicating his opponent, Samir Basti used spiritual powers in defeating him in their much talked about fight which came off few days ago at Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra.
“If there is juju in boxing, why ain’t the Indians, Nigerians and Senegalese not having all the world titles.” Bukom Banku stated.
However, Briamah Kamoko expressed disappointment in the referee stating that he should not have ended the game.
“Am not the only boxer that has had cut during a fight. Such boxers are made to fight to the end of which some end up winning the game. From the score card, I was leading in Round one, two, four, five and six, I only fell in Round three this; the cut was not a reason the referee should have consulted the doctor then ended the game.” Bukom Banku added.
Bukom Banku revealed that although he has lost, he has learned from his mistakes but that was not the correct story out there hence he is calling for a ‘re-match come 6th March, 2018.
